I was trying to browse the connections of one of my contacts this week and I discovered that he had changed his privacy settings to prevent others from browsing his connections.  It occurred to me as a result of this discovery that if I connect to former co-workers who are also competitors, sharing access to my connection with those competitors was a bad idea– especially if I connect to customers.

Therefore I turned off connection browsing, and then wrote up these instructions to share with my co-workers, in case they also wanted to protect their contacts from being pilfered by casual browsers.

In the Nortel CS1000, the ability to short hunt is tied to the last hunt key (LHK) which is only prompted if the class of service is hunting allowed (CLS HTA).  However, if you want it to short hunt to other keys on the same phone but not off phone, you must put 000 in the HUNT prompt.

I have to make a note of this because I have forgotten this more times than I care to admit over the last few years.  This way, I’ll have a record to look back on.

Keywords: Nortel, CS1000, LHK, CLS HTA, HUNT 000, Short Hunt

Sasha suns herself

Our Yorkshire Terrier somehow manages to get cold during the day, so I occasionally later her out in to the backyard at lunch (did I mention I work from home now full time?  A perk of my newest change of employer… which is what I was promised at my last job, but which never materialized.) to sun herself.

She truly enjoys a little quiet time in the sun.
