As I continue to sort & discard, I find things worth saving amongs the accumulations of my history (and others). I thought these quotes were worth saving and still do:
“A woman cannot love a man she feels to be her inferior; Love without veneration and enthusiasm is only friendship.” Amantine Lucile Aurore Dudevant (1804-1876), French novalist (who wrote under the pseudonym George Sand in a time when women were still not treated as equals.)
“We attract hearts by the qualities we display; we retain them by the qualities we posses.” Jean Baptiste Antoine Suard (1734-1817), French journalist.
“If nobody loves you, be sure it is your own fault.” Philip Doddridge (1702-1751), English divine (and Nonconformist)
“With thee all toils are sweet; each clime hath charms; earth – sea alike – our world within our arms.” George Gordon Noel Byron, Sixth Baron (1788-1824), English Poet.
At the point when I found these quotes, I was in love with the idea of having 3 first names (or two first names and two last names.)

Due to a typo, good ol’ Lord Byron became a Sith (or actually Xith) Baron, instead of a Sixth Baron.
