Rounded corners in CSS
I like this solution, but there are a ton of them. However, this CurveyCorners has got to be my favorite since it does not rely on any images to make it work and appears to be compatible with the three major browsers (Safari, Firefox and IE).
I finally gave in
One of the things that I didn’t want my website to become was a Nortel support portal, but I finally gave in. I need a place to keep a bunch of handy links while working between multiple computers and frankly, this portal makes the most sense. So, today, I started adding a bunch of links [...]

I work from home. I spend most of my day in my office, but every once in a while I leave. Restroom breaks, water, food, and to go looking for my girlfriend’s little dog to see what mischief she’s been up to lately.

Nortel IP Phone, reset to factory defaults
Resetting a Nortel IP phone just became a lot easier. Nortel has announced in their Unistim 3.0 documentation the ability to reset a Nortel IP phone to factory default settings. The following code is required to reset to factory default:

I think the article is relevant even today, especially as my career path hasn’t changed from being technical since I first read this. I think I once sent this to a former employer (Firstworld) after I was asked if there was anything [...]
Quotes from the Archive
As I continue to sort & discard, I find things worth saving amongs the accumulations of my history (and others). I thought these quotes were worth saving and still do:
“A woman cannot love a man she feels to be her inferior; Love without veneration and enthusiasm is only friendship.” Amantine Lucile Aurore Dudevant (1804-1876), French [...]
Password Protecting Posts
I decided to give it a spin on my last post to see whether or not I’d like it. While I think I’d still prefer to have a user level plugin (and may eventually code one to ensure that I can do it the way I’d want) I’ve decided to convert all of the personal [...]
Goal for August
For August, I plan on trying to do a Overlay review for each Nortel SL1 Overlay (used in routine maintenance). The purpose of the review is to highlight some key information about routine maintenance. I’d like to do at least 3 overlays a week. I’d like to include core tasks only, perhaps I can spend [...]

Went down to investigate a one-way audio issue for a customer. Had difficulty replicating the problem. I was able to capture some ethernet sniffer traces of some issues that they were experiencing. Hard to give an update at this time, since I don’t want to give partial information, so [...]

First time using the “blog this” feature on Flickr. Got to say, I sort of dig it. The only problem is that it’s not easy to backdate posts. So my photo blog entries will probably always be a week or more behind when the photo was taken (I’m just [...]
