Jennifer and I enjoy Chuck and Pushing Daisies. We tried Eureka, which looked interesting, but didn’t quite hook us. Middleman [on ABC family] is good cheesy fun. We’re also looking forward to the return of Heroes.

Have you ever watched Torchwood [on BBC America]? It’s a good investigative/aliens and time travel show. The heroes are a team of agents with access to some alien technology, some quirky faults/flaws, and a mission to protect the earth. Their agency is openly known, but no one quite knows what they do…

Pushing Daisies interests me partially because I can catch up on all the old episodes from Season 1 online. I love this new trend, it makes catching up on programs much easier than re-runs. Additionally, I do not feel that watching the show online in any way detracts from the desire to watch it on TV, since the computer monitor just isn’t a substitute for the television (no matter how big or how good your resolution, a 32″ TV and a couch will always beat it.)

When I first moved up here, you might recall that I didn’t have a TV but had a video card that could receive TV signals. I traded that in for a real TV within the first year. As cool as it was to watch TV on my computer, I just did not enjoy it as much as having a real TV and couch.

I’ve not heard of Torchwood (well, I’ve heard the name) or Middleman (heard nothing). I’ll look into them. Do you know if they offer anything online like Pushing Daisies (I’m sure I’ll look later, but I’m going to get caught up on Pushing Daisies first.)

Torchwood interested Jennifer because it’s a Dr. Who spinoff, but it caught me because they tell good stories. (And they toned the camp way down and replaced it with… more mature storylines.)

The Middleman is much campier; its aliens and conspiracies are humorous rather than serious or coherent. It might be fun popcorn viewing to share with Stephanie.

Unfortunately, trying to find TV shows with google’s not working well– I don’t watch online, so I’m probably missing the obvious.
