Note: Due to the time it takes to perform a backup (especially on Release 5.0 and later systems where off-system backups are included in the EDD routine by default), an EDD should be run at the end of your maintenance tasks for effieciency.  I recommend executing the EDD command and then walking away for a cup of coffee, read some emails or catch up with your coworkers.  By the time you’re done, it’ll be done.
